Tasting Profile
March 2026
Generous and expressive, the wine opens with ripe grapefruit, preserved lemon, and yellow nectarine, layered with white blossom, subtle cream, and a touch of flinty reduction. Gentle oak influence lends breadth and quiet complexity.
The palate is generous and enveloping, with concentrated citrus and white peach unfolding across a supple, lees-derived mid-palate. The fruit weight is balanced by integrated acidity, providing structure and lift. The finish is long and flavourful, reflecting both ripeness and composure with polished precision.

I think this is maybe the best Quartier Chardonnay to date. It’s from Dromana, Main Ridge and Balnarring. 12% new oak. A juicy and fruity style, pear, nectarine and fresh strawberry, fennel, a kiss of cedar oak and spice. It has a fine chalky feel to texture, balanced acidity, a light sour yoghourt creaminess, and finish of good length, a little green olive and lemon zest to close. Easy to enjoy. A pleasing glass of Chardonnay.

The Vintage
The Vineyard
Quartier means neighbourhood in French and the Quartier varieties are a celebration of diverse terroirs on the Mornington Peninsula. The fruit for this wine is sourced from neighbouring vineyards in Balnarring and Dromana.
The fruit was whole-bunch pressed directly into a combination of French oak barriques (8% new) and stainless-steel tank, where fermentation commenced spontaneously with ambient yeasts. After fermentation, the wine was aged on lees (without battonage) for eight months. The wine was bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
