Classic Beurrot characters of fresh pear, Pink Lady apple, and subtle citrus lead the nose, complemented by white florals and gentle spice. The palate is bright and finely balanced, showing pear, apple, and a hint of grapefruit. A touch of lees-derived creaminess adds depth through the mid-palate, while fine phenolics and a crisp acid line provide texture, focus, and length.

Honeysuckle, grapefruit, citrus rind and potpourri. This pinot gris puts on a bit of a show. It’s fruit-rich and characterful at once, with very good intensity and lots of lift and life. In the end there’s lots to like.

Subtle sweet spices of nutmeg and vanilla mix with green pear and fresh thyme on the nose. The gentle palate coaxes out flavours of pear, grass and roasted fennel while a refreshing line of acidity brings balance. This offers interest in the world of gris.

Beurrot comprises two Pinot Gris parcels: the tiny original 0.24 hectare section annexing the Meres block, and the all-Pinot Gris block which, at 2.74 hectares, provides the majority of the fruit. The large block is planted to a density of 5,600 vines per hectare.
The fruit was gently whole-bunch pressed directly into all old French oak oak, where fermentation commenced spontaneously with ambient yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine was ages on lees (without battonage) for ten months. The wine was bottled without fining and with minimal filtration
